How it works

From first call to the last trimmed edge.

Four stages most projects move through. A small accent wall may take a single conversation; larger rooms take more planning. Our approach

  1. 01

    Talk it through

Tell us about the room, the look you want and where the project is. An idea and a phone number are enough.

  2. 02

    Read the wall

Wall condition, the wallpaper's type and its pattern repeat shape the plan.

  3. 03

    Agree the scope

Preparation, installation and any removal are discussed up front, so the estimate fits the work.

  4. 04

    Hang & finish

Strips go up to a plumb line, the pattern is matched across seams and edges are trimmed clean.

The room around the pattern

A patterned wall gives a room its own point of view.

Paint changes the color of a room. Wallpaper changes its character. A dark floral can make a dining room feel intimate by lamplight, a fine stripe can make a narrow hallway feel taller, and a mural can turn a bedroom wall into a view.

Choosing the paper is the fun part. Getting it onto the wall well is a craft: the surface has to be ready, the paste has to suit the material, and the pattern has to land where the eye expects it, at the ceiling line, around the window and beside the mantel.

The details that make a wall look effortless.

Good installation is mostly invisible. You notice it when it's missing: a seam that catches the light, a pattern drifting off level, a motif cut in half right at eye level.

How a project comes together
  • SurfaceWalls are checked for smoothness, soundness and leftover adhesive before anything is hung.
  • PastePaper, non-woven, vinyl and pre-pasted products each have their own requirements.
  • LayoutWhere the first strip starts and how the repeat falls are decided before cutting.
  • SeamsThe pattern is matched across every join, with seams pressed flat and tight.
  • FinishClean trimming at ceilings, corners, trim and outlets, the same care as the open wall.

No tape measure required.

You don't need exact dimensions, a product number or a finished plan to call. Tell us about the room and what you're imagining, and we'll talk through sensible next steps, including whether an on-site look at the wall or measurements can be arranged for your project.

Questions

Before you pick a pattern

Short answers to common questions. If yours isn't here, a quick call is the easiest way to ask.

More in the wallpaper guide
Can I call before I've chosen a wallpaper?

Yes. Plenty of conversations start with a room and an idea rather than a product. We can talk about the wall, the look you're after and which details will help later. No measurements or samples are needed for a first call.

Do you install peel-and-stick wallpaper?

Yes. Peel-and-stick suits some walls well, but its adhesive depends on a smooth, clean, well-sealed surface. The product and the condition of the wall help decide whether it's the right choice for your space.

Can you hang a mural that comes in numbered panels?

Yes, murals and specialty wallcoverings are part of what we install. Panel murals go up in sequence and have to line up across every join, so it helps to have the product details handy when you reach out.

What if there's old wallpaper on the wall now?

That's common. The existing paper, how it was hung and what's underneath all affect removal and preparation. We can talk through what the wall needs before the new paper goes up.
